SUNDAY SCHOOL UNION
A meeting of the Sunday School Union was held in St. John's Church last evening. There was a good, attendance of delegates. The president, Mr. Alex. Johnston, reported that ho had visited soveral schools, and had also assisted at two annual meetings of city schools. A committee was appointed to draft a programme for the Easter Convention, to bo held at Blenheim. Owing to largo increase in tho expenses of the union, it has been found impossible to run the union on tho present income, and it was resolved to ask the schools to give a slightly-increased subscription next year. Schools aro to bo requested to notify what course of lessons they mtond using, so that it may be decided whether it will be necessary to have examinations on more than one course An appeal is to be made 1o friends of S,Sv school work: to provide «n ndolvmcnt, either by donation, or boquests, for the purpose of sending; an agent to fostoi the work in tho backblocks,
