Oats are easier and more difficult to sell in view of the near approach of harvest, as it is expected that some of the autumn-sown oats will be ready for the binder earlier than usual. There is considerable inquiry from the North Island for forward business in •oatSj potatoes, and cocksfoot, but,' except for reported sales of oats, not ;much business is likely to eventuate at this early perifid. There is still a good demand for chaff in the North 1 biit there is difficulty in obtaining ship'ping space, and the potato market is practically at a standstill for the same .reason. Prices are unchanged.
