CLOSING IN ON JERUSALEM

London, November 26. An official report from Palestine states:—"General Allenby's advanced patrols were pressed back to the southern bank of the Our mounted troops captured Bittir Station and Ainkarlm, 3J miles westward of Jerusalem. Strong bodies of Turks are holding tho high ground westward of Jerusalem, covering Jerusalem and tho Schechem Road to the north."— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asssn.-Reuter.
