THE RUNANGA MURDER
EGGERS REMANDED UNTIL FRIDAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Crcymoutll, November 27. . Aggers, on a charge of murder in connection with Die Ruiianga tragedy was to-day further remanded till Friday next. Prisoner, who was not represented by counsel, stated that he had been given to understand that legal aid would be forthcoming, as ho bad not the means wherewith, to secure such assistance. The Magistrate (Mr. Hutchison) pointed out that the Crown provided counsel in indictable offences only at trials in tlio Supremo Court. If accused made application in the direction indicated he would report to the Minister.
