POLICE CASES
Tho Magistrate's Court yesterday was conducted by Mr. W. G. Biddell, S.M. Ernost Edward Maxey was fined £2 for having broken a prohibition order. A fine of £3 was entered, against James Jones, ivho was convicted- of having used obscene language in Kent Terrace. Jean Keys was fined 10s. for insobriety 'and was convicted and ordered to appear for sentence when called on respecting a charge that she was an idle and disorderly porson' ivitli insufficient lawful means of support. For disobedience of maintenance orders, Henry- James Stinson was sentenced to sis weeks' imprisonment unless 10s. per week is paid elf arrears; Frederick Robert Keeper, to six months' imprisonment, unless arrears are reduced by £1 per week; Charles Badger was fined £2, and Samuel Wilkinson was sentenced to one month's imprisonment unless he pays £1 per week off arrears. John Tangney was fined £2 for assaulting Ivy Barnes, £2 for assaulting Mabel Tancne.v, and £3 for assaulting Constable Devine.
