ARNOLD ATKINSON MEMORIAL FUND
In sending a subscription to tho Arnold Atkinson Memorial Fund, General Godley says: "Captain ! Atkinson had proved himself an oxccllent officer, and is a great loss not only to the 'Round Table,' but also to this force." Subscriptions to tho "Round Table Fund have boon coming in well, and representatives of that bod,y will shortly confer with representatives of the Wellington District Law Society, which has also raised a fund, with a view to tho co-ordination of tho two funds. A sum of about £110 will be paid oyer from tho "Round Table" Fund to the University of Now Zealand before tho meeting of the Senate in January to institute an Arnold Atkinson Prize, to be given every two years (alternating with the Howen Prize), for an essay on some subject connected with tho British Empire and its development. Ihe subject of tho prize for ) 918 will be decided by the Sonate next January, and tho first award mado m Januaryi 1919. _
