At present tho twelve groups of "good sports" wish to raiso sufficient funds'to enablo tho Citizens' Service League to send parcels oF comforts to tho front. That is why tho people are aslted to havo their own soldiers in mind and heart during next week's "Sports' Days." Of courso, it is not necessary to wait till next Friday and Saturday. Tim Mayor, tho Mayoress, Mr. C. G. Wilson (Box 1517, Wellington), and Mr. R. W. Shallcrass (Box G95) will bo pleased to receive cheques, money orders, postal notes, cold and silver, or other gifts to gladden tho valiant fighters far away.

Next weolc tho citizens will hnvp inspiring evidenco of tlio Sports' Bodies strenuous oaticrness to provido oomforts for Wellington's soldiers'. Many committees aro working very hard and tnlking vqry little (except when tlio tonguo has to bo used to open a purso nr cheque-book). It is not a cnso of exhorting tlio "other follow" to do something. Tlio members of tlio clubs aro giving tboir own pockots n good, shnke-up.
