KING GEORGE'S SAILORS' FUND
Another opportunity will bo given today for citizens to assist the fund which His Majesty the King has inaugurated, and for which he expressed the wish that there should be a generous responso, in view of tho fact that so many men from both battleships and the mercantile marine have laid down their lives unhesitatingly and- under heroic circumstances. Many others «iro crippled with rheumatism" and suffer in other ways from the ]ifo of hardship and exposure, and tho wives and families of all these, as well as the invalided men, are to be assisted and benefited by tho money raised. A large sum will be needed, and the Field Fete at Wellington. Collcgo this afternoon should provide an excellent and enjoyable afternoon's entertainment from 2.30 p.m ; to 5.30 p.m., as well as an opportunity of helping the fund. Tliore will bo tennis and croquet tournaments, I cricket match, pierrot entertainments, hidden treasure digging, as well as afternoon tea, and flower and sweets stalls.
