DISTRIBUTED BT GOVERNOHGENEK.AL. Medals, prizes, and certificates gninod in Uio examinations conducted by tlio Wellington Centre of the Trinity College of Music (London) wore distributed last night by the Governor-General (Lord Liverpool) in St. Andrew's Schoolroom. There was a largo attendance of students and their friends. The local secretary, Mr. Leon Cohen, presided. During Iho evening some of rho prizewinners gave musical numbers. Jliss EUio lieirne (St. Mary's Convent), 2nd Intermediate Medallist, santf, "Hush, My Little One" (Bevignani). The pianists were: Miss Vera Boeslcy (Miss A. E. Carroll), First Junior Medallist, and Master Lennox M'Phee (Misa K. Fngnii), First Junior Medallist, equal; Miss Zoe Guerin (Airs. Jlaclcay), First Intermediate Medallist; Miss Ivy Hoare (Miss A. E. Carroll), Second Sonior Medallist; Miss Penrl Evans (St. Joseph's Convent), First Senior Medallist; Miss Maude Parker (St. Mary's Convent), First. Associate Medallist. The performers acquitted themselves very creditably. The theory prizes were alloted as folHigher Local.—Ethel Turner (Miss V. M. Moore). Senior Division.—Viola Turner (Miss V. M. Moore). Advanced Intermediate and Intermediate.—Sibyl Hopkirk (Miss Harvey). Advanced Junior.—L. Sunderlaud (Mrs. Forrest). Junior.—Myrtle Gibson (Miss Harvey). Preparatory.—Lillie Gray (Miss Gray). The practical prizes were awarded as follow:— Parsons (Miss M. Gnynor). First Steps.—Willio Wadnian (Miss A. E. Carroll).
