INFLICTING BODILY HARM
FIVE YEARS' IMPRISONMENT IMPOSED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, November 12. In the Supreme Court, Arthur William Ledgerwood was charged with tho attempted murder of a young woman named Ruby Janet M'lCniglit, and on a second count of shooting with intent to do grievous bodily harm. The jury, after half an hour's retirement, returned a verdict of guilty of intentionally inflicting grievous bodily barm, and Ledgerwood was sentenced to five years' hard labour.
