Yesterday opened fine, with a streaky sky, indicating tho ndvent of windy weatlier. During the forenoon the breezo was fresh, but it blew harder as the day wore on, and by nightfall it was_ howlinn throunrh iho streets. Present indica-. ( tions arc for high nor'-west winds, cloudy nnd stormy weather, with rain following generally, but warm and sultry for a time in tho East Coast districts.
