The lima was a very smart sailer and was engaged in the timber trade between Auckland and Austra lia, for some time in the hands of Can tain Schultze. She is a steel barnucntinn 0L345 tous gross, built In 1885 at Grangemonth, for the Ship lima Co., Ltd of Auckland. Before beine dismantled some years ago she was used as a training ship. The cargo-carrying ca pnclty of the Dartford is tho larger of the two vessels. UNION COMPANY'S COLLIERS. The movements, as far as Wellington is oonoerned, of Union Company collicrs are as follow' The Kamo arrived on Saturday night with a cargo of coal and 16,000 ft. of timber from Greymouth. Tho vessel will bo dispatched to-morrow night for Westport, where 6he will load for Duncdin. Tho Komata arrived on Sunday morning with a cargo of ooal and 30,000 ft. of timber from Westport. Sho will sail on Wednesday for Westport. The Kakapo sailed on Saturday night for Greymouth to load coal for tliiß port. She is to sail to-night. Tho Karamu will leave Westport to-day with a load of coal for Wellington. Tho I'oherua arrived last night from We6tport, and an effort will bo made to get her away to-night for the West Coast port. . Tho Union Company advise that oil account of delay at Auckland the -Arahura will not leave thero until to-day for Gißborne and Napier, and consequently the intermediate trips from Napier and to Gisborne have been abandoned. Her first sailing from Napier will ba on Wednesday, when sho will proceed to Gisborne and Auokland. The Monowai sailed late on Saturday night for'Lyttclton and Dunedin. She is due back on Friday, one day late, as she will call at Timaru and also at Lyttclton. She will sail the same day for Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The Ngakuta arrived last night from Greymouth, and will return to-morrow night for that port. The John is duo here this morning from Oamaru and will sal) this afternoon for Wanganui. Captain Cameron, of the Mararoa, has written to the Lyttelton Harbour Board asking that the white patch on Godlcy Head should bo repainted, as it 'is a great help to marinors in picking up the entrance to the harbour. The board decided on Wednesday that as it is difficult to paint tho mark in the summer the work should bo done as soon as the calm 'autumn weather sots in. , At last Wednesday's meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board the harbourmaster reported that two Binall fires had been discovered on vessels at tho wharf. He ascribed tho cause to smokers carelessly throwing lighted matches about. Tho Ngahore left for Greymouth on Saturday morning, and will sail from that port on Tuesday night for Wellington. She is duo here on Thursday morning, and after the discharge of her oargo of coal she will go on the slip for cleaning and painting and minor repairs. On Monday the vessel will sa'il for Greymouth. The Kapuna, which has been at the Wellington wharves for several days waiting for tho Patea bar to improve, sailed yestorday afternoon. It was expected that the bar would be workable to-day and allow the Waverley and tho Hawera to Pbbs outward for Wellington. Tho Koutunui, which is due early this morning from Black Head with w<opl, jvlll this morning go to Orongorongo to load wool, returning here to-night. To-morrow she will sail for tho East Coast.
