DASHING TACTICS ENEMY PUT TO FLIGHT (Kec. November D, 7.30 p.m.) London, November 8. An official dispatch from Mesopotamia 6tates: "Descending the Tigris on November 5, our troops crossed twelve hundred yards of open' country and attacked tho enemy's strongly-entrenched position covering: Tekrifc. The Indian, Sikh, and rifle regiments captured the tirsfe two lines of trenches, inflicting heavy casualties, and repulsed a counterattack. The cavalry attacked the enemj's right flank, the artillery 6helled the Turkish communications northward, and we carried further trenches. In the afternoon the British and Indian cavalry charged over the trenches and cut down the retreating Turks. The enemy, fleeing at night time, burned his stores and blew up three dumps.
