MIRAMAR AFFAIRS

BOROUGH COUNCIL MEETING,

The fortnightly meeting of the Miramar Borough Council was held last night. There wore present: The Mayor (Mr. F. Townsend), and Councillors S. H. Underwood, H. Hawthorne, M. Tracy, \V. H. Greenland H. K. Robertsha^.. Mrs. E. Wilson was granted permission to erect a motor-garage within the road reserve of Karaka Bay. A proposed subdivision of land at Seatoun was approved. This is the sixth subdivision in throe weeks. The usual resolution relating to an additional charge of 10 per cent, to all overdue rates was carried. It was decided to appeal for the exemption from military service of one of the council's employees who was drawn in the last ballot. Accounts amounting to =EBGO were passed for payment.
