THE OUTBREAKS YESTERDAY. The City Hro Brigade rras called ont twice A little before 3 o'clock yesterday morning a fivo broke out in a five-roomed cottage on the Queen's Drive, Lyall Day, owned and occupied by Mr. Walter Vivian Roberts, and before the brigade could suppress it cqnsiderablo damage was- done to both building and. contents. It is not known, how the firo originated. The furnituro and effects nro insured in the New Zealand Company for .£l5O, and tho Stato Department has a risk on the house.
Tho brigade was again called out at 11.19 last night, this timo to No. U Murphy Street, where- some linen .which, was being aired in front of the kitchen fire cause an outbreak which did damage to the kitchen and hall. The house wa* owned and occupied by Mr. Thomas J. Townshcnd. The building was insured in the Royal Office for .£4OO and the contents in the samo offico for £310.
