SISTER OF SIR FRTC AND STR A. C. ■GEDDES. Army appointments announced in a recent' issue of the London Gazette include the Chief Controller mid other officers of the Women's Aniiy_ Auxiliary Corps. The Chief Controller is Mrs. A. M. Ch aim ere Watson, M.D., Ihe sister of Sir Erie Geddes, First Lord of the Admiralty, and Sir Auckland Geddes, Minister of National Service and Chief Recruiter for ilie Army. Both .Mrs. Watson and Sir Eric Geddes appeared in Iho first list of recipients of tho new British Kmnirc Order—Sir Eric as a Knight Grand Cross 1G.13.E.) nnd Mrs. Watson as a Commander (C.8.E.). 3frs. Watson fas tho first woman to bo capped M.D. at Edinburgh University, and was married the samo day in 1898. She is a niece of Mrs. Gnrrelt Anderson, M.D., also a C.8.E., and a cousin of the new Knizht of the Order of the British Empire, Mr. Alan Garrett. Anderson, who sueeccdcd Sir Eric Geddes as Controller .it the Admiralty. Mrs. Watson's appointment to the Women's Army is ante-dated February 19 last.
