ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
LAUNCH DISASTER FEARED. TWO MEN MISSING. By Telegraph—Press Association., Invercarglil, November 3. Mr. John Craig, manager of the Marlborough Timber Co., and Mr. F. Farrr, boatman, left Mussel Beach in a launch for Waikoau River on Friday afternoon. The launch was later found in a damaged condition, but no traco of tho wen has been disoovered, and they are bolieved to have been drowned. A search party has gono out, Both the missing men are married.
FOUND DEAD. Br Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, November 4. Catherine Isabel Mitchell, 20 years of Age, was fuund dead in bed at NorthEast Valley this morning. It appowa that elie was subject to epileptic fits, and apparently had had a fit during the night, being found smothered by tho bedclothes.
INQUEST AT FEATHERSTON. At an inquest held on Friday concerning tho sudden death of Mr. David Naismith Algi'e, a well-known settler, a verdict was returned to the effect that deoeased sucoumbed as the result of heart diseaso. The late Mr. Algic, who had reached 56 veara of age, was a native of Glasgow, Scotland, and leaves a widow and family of five—one of his two eons was Teccntly reported as having been wounded in 'Franco.
A man named Henry Greenfield, who resides at G1 Owen Street, slipped and fell in Cambn3e Terrace on Saturday afternoon, and brolco his left arm. He was admitted to the Hospital. Mrs. Looney, residing at 11 Houghton Terrace, Kilbirnie, was knocked. _ down by a motor-car in front of her rosidenoe on Saturday afternoon, and was admitted to the Hospital suffering from an injury to her left foot.
