Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., rePort having oflered a good yarding of cattle at Levin on Tuesday, which met with a ready sale, competition being keen for all classes offered:—Quotations: Fat cows, to £13 55.; light fat cows, £10 7s. to £11 6a.; forward cows, to £9 195.; store cows, £7 to £9 25.; cows with calves, to £12 10s.; yearling steers, £7 15s. to £8 10s., (small), £6 145.; yearling heifers to £5 2s. 6d.; young bulls to £7 Is.; springing heifors to £8 17s. 6d.

There was a small attendance, and bidding waß dull; most lots, however, were eventually disposed of. They quote :-Two and a half-year steers, to £11; yearling steers (bad colours), to £4 10s.; yearling heifers, £4 6s. to £4 17s. 6d.; cows in milk, to £11; springing cows, to £10 155,; springing heifers, to £9; heifers with calvev£7 35.; bulls, £9 4b. to £10.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held their fortnightly sale at tho Upper Hutt yards on Thursday,' and Biibmjttcd a medium yarding of cattlo to a fair attendance, and sold practically everything at satisfactory prices. Fat cows, £11 175.; cows with calves, £8 55.; empty eijhteen-months to two-year heifers, £5 17s. cd.; mitfjl weanera, £2 4s. to £2 155.; springing heifers, £7 10s. to £7 165.; springing cows, £11 to £12 15s.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their Levin yards on Tuesday they offered to a good attendapce of buyers, a fair entry of sheep, and a full yarding of cattle. Competition was brisk, which enabled them (with the exception of one pen of cattlo) to make a clearance at the following, prices:—Medium, fat ewes, 345. 4d. to 38s. 9d.; prime fat ewes, £2 25.: fat .hoggets, i36s. Id.; medium fat cows, £10 17s. 6d. to £11 ss:; vcalers, £3 Bs.; forward , condition cows, £9 ss. to £9 lis.; store cows, £6-13s. to £7 45.; good condition 3-year steers, £15 17s. 6d.; yearling steers (mixed colours), £5 9s. to £7 3s. 6d.; yearling Jersey oross heifers, good quality, £7 ss. to' £8 65.: medium ditto, £4 17s. to £5- lis.; small do, £3 3s. to £4 55.; 2-year empty heifers, £6 125.; cows with calves (medium), £9 to £9 10s.; others, £6 13?. to £8 35.; good springing heifers, £10 12s. 6d. to £12; bulls. £8 10s. to £10; sood .weaner pigs, 15s. to 175.; small do., 7s. 6d.; empty sow, 30s. The Wairarapa Farmers Co-operative Association, Ltd., Stock Department, report having held their .weekly sale at Masterton yesterday, when they offered a very h?avy yarding of sheep and a medium one of cattle to a fair attendance. Although bidding at auction was not too koen we were successful in disposing of the whole of-the' yarding, with the exception of one or ; two pens. Quotations:— Sheep: Whiteface hoggets, 305., 315.'6 d.. 31s. lid. to 325.; blackface hoggets, 28s. Bd. to 30s. Cattle: yearling lieifora,. £4 2s. 6d.; dairy heifers, springing, £8.
