AUSTRIA'S WAR FINANCES
BIG INCREASES IN TAXATION. (Rec. October 30, 7.25 p.m.) Amsterdam, October 29. The Upper House of the Austrian Reichsratli has read a third time an additional War Tax Bill. It includes heavier taxation on securities, new wine and coal taxes, increases in.railway fares, and income tax. It is estimated that, the vield from tho increases will be eight hundred million kronen (roughly, about 33? millions sterling) .-Ans.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
