Tho Masterton Horticultural Society has doeided to inaugurate a school children's plot competition. A champion iours team from the Carterton Bowling Club visited Masterton on Saturday, and succeeded in. wresting tho niedale froiu a local team, after an exciting finish, by tho narrow margin of ono point.

A sum of ,£2Ol lis. 3d. was taken at tho Masterton Patriotic Shop on Saturday last. Tho shop was run by the- residents of Eideford.
