THE LATE HON. W. BEEHAN.
SIR FRANCIS BELL moved that tlie Cotiucil should placo on record jt.-: sense of the services rendered to New Zealand by the late Hon. W. Beehan, and extend its sympathy to the widow and family. He said that members of the Council had suffered a personal loss, and the Legislative Council had been deprived of the services of a careful and intelligent legislator, who had followed undeviatingly the- course of public duty. ' The Hon. J. X. Paul and the Hon. A. T. Maginnity supported the motion, Wl)ich was carried. The Council adjourned until 7.30 p.m.
as ft mark of respect to the late Mr. Beehan.
