MILITARY SERVICE BOARD
YESTERDAY'S APPEALS. The Third. ■Wellington Military Service Board sat in Wellington yesterday. The members of the board are Messrs. H. J. Beswiok (chairman), A. O'L. Considine, and M. J. Mack. Captain P. B. Baldwin is the military representative. • An appeal by Gordon J.,Baxter, clerk, Hawker Street, was adjourned till December 20.
Private Holcroft, Feathereton Camp, fas recommended for leave till November 13. Adjournments sine die were made in the following cases: —Rredi, Dell, i wireless operator; D. R. Lewis, marina' engineer ; Dr. D. L,. Sinclair, Taihape;-St. Legor H. Griffen, medical superintendent, Christchurch Mental Hospital.
Three months' leave without pay will be recommended for Private I\ A. Ridgley. The following eases were adjourned till January:—W. D. Eyalls, barman; E. C. Nicholls, A. J. Willett, and A. Lightfowler, boot clickers. Leave till November 4 was deoided un for Privates "W. Walker, D. M'Clellnnd, and H. B. Dickens. Private F. Summer was granted three months' leave of absence. Six weeks' leave was recommended for Trooper H. M. Goodrick, Feathßreton Camp; and a month's leave was recommended for N. P. Bryant, of the Thirtysecond Artillery, Featherston Camp. An appeal, for E. D. Newth. Public Trust Office, Wanganui, was dismiffled, and leave was given till December 11. Fourteen days' leave was recommended for Trooper N. H. Oldfield, Thirty-fourth .Reinforcements, Featherston. The board will sit to-day again.
