No definite information can be obtained as to when a further supply of wheat may be expected from Australia, although shipping has been resumed. Local stocks'are very low, and only sufficient for a few weeks. The supply of oats is becoming short, and in the south it is reported that stocks are only sufficient for three out of the five months before the new crop is available. There are practically none offering locally. Oateheaf chaff continues in good demand at £5 per ton at country stations. The potato market is dull, and fresh business can only bo obtained at lower rates. The price is nominally '15s. to 475. Gd. at country stations.
