A FOREIGNER ON THE WHARVES
LOADING TRANSPORTS. Mr. Vigor Brown asked the Prime' Minister in the House of Representatives yesterday whether he was aware that a foreigner was in charge of the loading of transports at tlie wharf. He was credibly informed that a foreigner was in charge of this work. Mr. Massey: What nationality? 'Mr. Brown: I don't know. He is not a German, but he is'a foreigner. Mr. Massey: What is Ms name? Mr. Brown: I don't know. X was told the name,-but I forget it. , Mr.-Massey: I can only say that I will look into the matter. I am not aware that a' foreigner is in charge of the loading of transports. . Mr. E. Fletcher: I can tell the Prime Minister that the foreigner referred to by the member for Napier is named Tuiksma. He is a Dane. X don't know whether he comes - from Schleswig-Bol-stoin or not, but ho is a Dane, and his knowledge of .English is very limited.
