By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, October 24. At Aldington market there were larger yardings of stock in all the principal departments. Prices all round were generally easier. . Fat cattle showed a decline of about £2 per head. Dry store sheep were down about 2s. Gd. per head, and ewes Is. 6d. to 2s. 6d, compared with a fortnight before. The larger yardings of fat sheep and fat lambs also resulted in lower values, the former being down 3s. to 4s. per head, and towards the end ot the sale competition fell away altogether. The store cattle pens contained among the offerings the largest number ot three and four-year-old cattle, most of thorn from Southland, that has been seen in the yards for some time. This class ot cattle met with a good demand, and sold up to ,£l6 per head. Other sorbs were difficult to dispose of. and many ivero passed. Pigs were , easier. Store sheep: Two-tooth shorn ewes, to 26s 6d.; four and six-tooth ew.es with lambs, nil counted, 223. 7d. ito 235.
