SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE

"UNJUST CRITICISM" EESENTED. Exception was taken at a meeting of the committee of the.Lyall Bay branch of the Second Division League last evening, to tho statement of the Prime Minister that tho members of the Second Division League /were not "playing the ■ game." The committee passed a resolution strongly affirming that the Second Division was playing the game as Britishers,, and its members were'prepared to take their place in the trenches. . They objected, however, to unjust criticism, and only asked for equality of sacrifice and justice for wife and children, demanding as a right the immunity of their dependants from having to appeal to , the Financial Aid BoaTd for that assistance which their country owes them.
