MARINE ENGINEER DROWNED. By Telegraph-Press Association. Dunedin, October 35. Samuel Pocock, a married' man aged 52, an engineer in the Harbour Perry service, disappeared on September 24. His body was found in the harbour yesterday. At an inquest Mrs. Pocock said the deceased had been in bad health for three months prior to disappearing. Samuel Creggan, a member of tho crew of a steamer at Port Chalmers, has been missing since 11 p.m. on Saturday. Tho watch on an adjacent steamer heard a splash about. 11.30. Creggan's clothes were found on the vessel. LITTLE BOY DROWNED. Gisbornc, October 15. Tho four-year-old son of M.r. Philip Moore, of liangaroa, fell into a creek and was drowned. MAORI INJURED BY MOTOR-CAR. Foilding, October 15. An elderly Maori, named Harry Hughes, a resident of Awahuri, was struck by a motor-ear while crossing the street. When picked up ho was unconscious and seriously injured.
