PAY OF SOLDIERS AND SAILORS
100 PER GENT. INCREASE URGED. London, October 10. A joint committee of trade unions and members of Parliament has urged Mr. Lloyd Gcorgo immediately to increase the pay of soldiers and sallow to 100 per cent., with increases lor: all ranks below officers. , , Mr. Lloyd George pointed out that what had already been dono had tost between lilt/and sixty millions. He sympathised with the objects of the deputation, and said ho would refer the matter back to Sir Edward Carson's Cabinet Conunittee.-Aus-N.Z. Cable Assn.-Kcuter.
