FEILDING METHODIST CIRCUIT

The quarterly meeting: of the. Feilding Methodist Circuit was held on Wednesday, Rev. G. F. Stockwell presiding. The membership was reported as 270 seniors and 35 juniors. The stewards reported a credit balance of J-'fi on tho'quarter's working. Reports from the Sunday School and Young People's Societies were satisfactory. A line response had been made to tho Foreign Mission appeal, .£235 having already been raised. The collectors were thanked far their efforts. Rev. G. I\ Stockwell received a hearty invitation to labour in the circuit another year, which he accepted. Rev. T. Coatsworth having accepted fir invitation to the Wellington South- Circuit, it was decided to leave, tho matter of his successor to conference. Messrs. W. F. Bramwoll and W. G. Pearce, the circuit stewards, wer.e appointed to represent the circuit at the Hastings Synod in November, substitute representatives being Mrs. J. Barragh and Mr. F. S. Guy. The chairman reported the liquidation of the Trust debt of -6550. and the putting of the church and parsonage property in thorough repair.
