Mr. Mjer Caselbei-R presided at the annual meeting of the shareholders of the Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association to-day. , ; In moving tiie adoption of Hie report', which showed a net profit of .£20,522 on the year's operations' and recommended a dividend of 8 per cent., the chairman remarked upon the continued prosperity of the district' He etated that preference shares of. .£IOO,OOO, authorised at the last meetiiiff, had been over-subscrib-ed. In the coming year it was proposed erect largo premises in Wellinjrton. Fifty members of the staff had responded to the coll of Empire, and ten had been killed in action. As far as possiblethose who 'returned wounded were reinstai'.ted in their former positions.,. ' Messrs. W. G. Williams and D. Caselberj were elected dinctors, and tho appointment of Air. W. Howard Booth to tho position «i the Board of Directors, vacated by Mr. A. W. Cuve, ™ confinned Messrs. A. S. Biss and G. W. Sellar were appointed auditors. A role of thanks was passed to the directors and the staff.
