— 9CASE. OF ALLEGED EXPLOITATION. A case of alleged exploitation by an importer was mentioned in the House *>f Representatives yesterday by Mr. G. V. Pearce. He asked the Prime Minister if he knew that an English firm with a branoh at Wellington, Lysaght and Company, had lately-imported 500 tons of corrugated .iron into New Zealand. Iso other firm 6 could get this commodity, and the result was that this finn, having a monopoly, had been able to advance the price to about JBIOO a ton.
