Flowers have arrived from Nelson, Napier, "'and from the JTutt Valley, as well as from all the leading gardens in the city and suburbs. finj* one wishing to send a cake to the front )9 advised to visit the cake stall* where the best of home-made cakes will be cn The leading butchers in Wellington have taken a very lively interest in the meat stall, so that it promises to be one of the best money-makers in the market. Every butcher in Wellington has sent good contributions, whilst tho handling and selling is in practical hands.
HALF-HOUR ENTERTAINMENTS. The special attraction in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall this evening and to-morrow evening will be the naifhour entertainments arranged by the "Charlev's Aunt" Club. ' Threo enter"■ainmen'ts will bo given each ovaning, the first being a concert at which Mr. Paul Stanhope's quartet party will appear (by permission of Mr. Walter lulled/and Messrs. Ossipoft, Leslrup, Norinnn Aitken, Miss Richardson, and others will take part. This will be followed by the production of two American oneact plays, in which leading amatyur performers will appear. During the evening Turner's Orchestra will _ play selections. As the prico .of admission is so low crowded honsos are oxpeotod.
