The weekly meeting of the Wellington Football Association! was held last evening. There wero present: Messrs.'i W. Auld (chairman), W. Duncan, E. Evans, C. Webster, B. Hill, F. O'Driscbll, H. Yeoman, and A. Williams (hon.' secretary). The City Council wrote granting permission to play matches till tho end of September. ' " •■" A Rugby Football Club was granted a ground at Newtown Park. on. Saturday next. Y.M.C.A. (sth Division) wrote asking that Porirua bo asked to replay their match in town next ..Saturday, as they drew their game last Saturday and have already journeyed out twice before this season. Tho committee decided to replay the game in town. The Canterbury Association wrote thanking the Wellington Association for the splendid time given their boys whilst in tho. city. Mr. F. O'Connell, manager of the Wei. lington team, sent in his report re .tho representative match at Christchurch v. Canterbury, which was won by Wellington by 2'goals to nil. Tho conduct of. tho Wellington team 1 was beyond reproach, and it was decided to thank Mr. O'Connell for his services as couch and manager of the Wellington team. A sub-committee, comprising Messrs'. C. Webster, W. Duncan, and F. O'Driscoll, was appointed to arrange for a con-' cert and presentation of cups and medals at the end of the 6enson.
