SOCIETY SENSATION IN ENGLAND.
London, September 23. The internment of M. Laszlo de loinbos M.V.0.,. the Court painter, who has resided for many years, in England, has caused a soiieation in society.—Aus.H.Z. Cable Assn. '• ' fit. de Loin bos, who, was born at Budapest in 1869, studied art in the leading schools of Vienna and Pans. In 189<J he was awaa-ded the gold inedai at the Paris Salon for his portrait ot Prince llohenlohe, and in the following vear Kainwl a similar distinctiou for his portrait of Pope Leo. XIII. These, and his portraits of King Edward and Queen Alexandra, the Kaiser, and «• President Roosevelt, are among lus beetknown works. It. Hα Loinbos has had numerous honours and decorations conferred upon him by EuroDeiju Sovereigns, anions; others meniLerehip of the Aictorian Order, which was conlerred lU'On biui in 1910.1
