- By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, September 17. At Burnside to-day 152 fat cattle were yarded. There were some pens of very prime bullocks and heifers, but a large proportion was more or less unfinished. Competition for prime cattle was keen at prices fully equal to last week's rates. Unfinished sorts were readily absorbed by graziers. Prime bullocks, £20 10s. to .£25 5b.; medium, £7 10s. to £9 10s.; light, £U to .£l6 55.; extra primo cows and heifers, to £20; prime £16 to .CIS; medium, £12 10s. to .£l4 55.; light and unfinished, £9 10s. to £11. Sheep (2245 penned).-Tho quality was better' than last week. Prices opened fully Gflltal to last week's rates, but towards tho finish medium quality declined about Is. ' Prime wethers. 475. to ss. 3d.; me'dium, 41s. to 455. 6d.; light, 345. to 395.; primo ewes, 435. to 495.; mediuirL. 3bs. ,to 375. 6d.; others, to 325.. 6d. Pigs(Tlie yarding of fats and stores was larger than usual. Several usual buyers were absent, and competition was less keen. Prices were'a shade easier. The entry of stoves and weaners wrts much larger,' but all sold at late rates.
