ANNUAL araS'lKtJ; Mr. Georgo B. Purdey (vice-president) occupied the chair at the annual meeting of tho Wellington Branch of the New Zealand dissociation of Veterans hold on Ifofifiay' evening. In presenting the report on tho year's operations, Vie man spoke appreciatively of tho advance made during the year, In particuhtf to the action of the Government in recognising the claims of war \eteraus to increased pensions, in which concern he paid a tribute to tho untiring energies of the secretary (Mr. S. Stidolph). Tho financial statement, read by Mr. Stidolpli, showed that during tlnj year the sum of .filfl had been paid cut for benevolence. The credit balance in the bank at the present time was .£7B Is. 7d., which was regarded as eminently satisfactory. The election of officers resulted as fol-lows:—Vice-president, Captain J. Henry; secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. Davidson; auditor, Mr. T. Bland; delegates to annual, conference, Colonel M'lntosh and Mr. It. Tingev; committee, Messrs. (J. B. Purdey, C. B. Fox, H. irden, J. lioTrinson, J. Brown, ]!. Tingey, and S. Stidolpli. Mr. Stidolpli, wlio lias held the position of secretary and treasurer for the past seventeen years, was accorded a liearty vote of thanks.
