RAUKAWA CLEARING SALE.

Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—On. Wednesday ire held, an unreserved clearing sale of pedigree Jersey cattle, dairy cows, and hoifers, sheep, horses, pigs, implements, and sundries at Baukawaj-.on behalf of Mr. 'Andrew Buchanan. The day was wintry, and though the attendance suffered in consequence, there were over one hundred and fifty buyers present from all parts of the North Island. The Jerseys were in .excellent condition, and were the. subject of much favourable comment. The grade cows and heifers in milk and springing sold at very reasonable prices, which must bo* considered satisfactory. The implements were in good order and variety, and met with a. fair demand. Bull-Jersey Holme King, to Mr. H. B. Toose, Feilding, 21 guineas. ■ Dairy cows and heifers—The herd of 70 head realised an average of £8 10s. per head, the best prices ranging from £U to J!ts. Sheep— Romney owes and lambs, J32 16s. Gd.; pi re-bred ewes and lambs, ,£4 Is. to -E5; purebred ewo hoggets, £2 lis. to J% 10s ; ; purebred ewes and lambs, £1 Is. io £a; guineas, 9J. guineas, 13 guiguineas, 16 guineas, to 22 guineas; Ryland Tains. 2 guineas.
