Nominations closed yesterday for Iho election of Mayor and nine councillors for tho nowly-forraed Featheretou Borough. Thero was only ono candidate for the Mayoralty, Mr. ,T. VI. Card, retiring chairman of tho Town Board, and for 21 years a commisaioncr, ho being nominated by Mr. M. B. Tail, an ex-chairman and old commissioner, and Mr. A. U. Holms, retiring treasurer. For (ho council tho following wero nomiuated:— Messrs, M. B. Tait, A. C. Holms. B. S. Yolverton, A. Donald, T. Davia, W. Eenton (retiring commissioners), T. li. Saundors (an ex-commissionerj, M. >I. Kendall, C. E. Slcipage, .1. M. G. M'Kenzie, Jas. Adamson, H. Baufiqld, J. T. Bicknell, and H. J. Dagg. The election will Ik) held on ..Wednesday ■ nest.
