Sclig was rc-elcoted prcsidont for tho eighteenth successive year. Several speakers said the present standing o£ trotting was largely duo to the valuable work dono by Mr. Selie, and those associated with him, in tho early (lays of the snort. Tho following report of tho suh-committco regarding starting before time was agreed to: "Should any rider or driver bo called off once during a racing season ho shall receive a caution; should any rider or driver bo called ofl more than once during a racing seaeon the Licensing Committee shall consider the case and make a recommendation to the first meeting of the hoard whether such rider or driver shall retain a licence or otherwise."
