HOCKEY
A match was played on Saturday at TCarori Park between Die 35th n.c.o.'s and a representative team from I'VatherKtou Gamp. The ground was in excellent condition, and very fast, both ?ides pnttinj? in some good work. Tho game was won by the 35Mi n.0.0.'s by 3 goals to 1. Cantain itnnds, of the Trentlmni Methodist Institute, was referee. The ylicUa for flie game were kindly lent by the Y.M.C.A. The Fcatherston team was captained by Lieutenant i'otfer, an ex-~Aucklaud player, and Corporal MinebCsS also of Auckland, was captain of tho n.e.o.'w. In the Trentham team wore also J". M.'Hean, V. Johns, M. Alexander, and K. West, all of Auckland.
