ANOTHER REFERENCE IN PARLIAMENT. Th.6 .other day tho member for Auck- ; land Central (Mr. Glover) told a sad" tale, in tlio House of Representatives about tho unhappy state of a -woman in, Auckland. It was said that this woman's •■ four sons had gone to the war, and that now the bailiffs were'in her house distraining for Bomo £& of rent. Mr. Lee asked the Minister of Defenco yesterday whether he had made inquiries into the oasc, and if so would ho givo information to the House. Sir James Allen: The matter has been examined into, and I understand that it \ has been settled up in ai way quite satisfactory to the member for Auckland .Central. I am quite prepared to . give the House all tho information, but I have been asked not to by tho member for Auckland Central. Cries of "Why?
