After a vigorous publicity campaign, conducted throughout North Otago, under the auspices of tho WSitaki County Colincii, assisted by a citizens' committee, the Liberty War Loan closed to-day with satisfactory results. The banks received ,£26,000, and the Post Office lis., making a total of «£84,393 lis. lhis is n, creditable subscription having regard to tho fact that ■ all the wealthiest of the local business «hou6es, banks, and mercantile houses, have Jtheir head offices elsewhere, and their subscriptions will be made in one sum by the head, office.
