UNSETTLED WEATHER
Yesterday was a bleak, day .ill Wellington.' 'The wind l)lew strongly from the south, the sky was overcast, cutting off tho sun, and people in the streets speeded up in their movements, and huddled themselves in their overcoats. Hie wind died down at night, and the air lost some of its "bite. The official forecast states that strong north-west to south-west winds, and cold, squally and showery weather may bo expected. The barometer is unsteady, with'a rising tendency. ■ '
