HOCKEY
LADIES' .ASSOCIATION. At a general meeting of the Wellington Ladies' Hockey -Association, held last evening, correspondence was received from Canterbury and Manawatu Associations, with a view of arranging matches in the first week in September. It was'decided to agree to dates as follows: —Manawatu v. Wellington, Wednesday, September 5; Manaawtu v. Canterbury, Thursday, September 6; Canterbury v. Wellington, September 8. The proceeds of these matches are to be devoted to the Sports Gift Fund. It was decided to play a trial match on Saturday, August 35. Mr. J. C. Cusack was appointed selector. Mr. A. W. Manning was appo'inted hon. secretary, and Miss Cathie was appointed hon. treasurer. The following are the games, grounds, anil referees for Saturday:—
Trial Match, A and B.—A Team (white blouses)— Misses K. Skinner, R. Israel, J. M'Kenzio, L. Dick, T. Wallace, T. Murphy, S. M'Kenzie, E. Williams, J. Grant, N. Lang. B Team (dark blouses)— Misses Skinner, Taylor, D. Bingham. C. Donovan, H. Eastcrneld, E.- Bath..- H. Martin. Hostick, J. jitarchbanks, S. Simon, Hnase. Emergencies—Backs: Leach, Law. V. Simon; forwards: Nimmo and Feast.' This match will be played at No. 1 Karon Park; referee, A. W. Maiming.
Seniors.—University B v. Girls' College B, at No. 8 ICarori Park (Mr. Selig); Ramblers B v. Huatahi, at No. 7 Karori Park (Mr. E. Marshall). Juniors—St. Augustine's v. Y.AV.C.A., at Petone (Mr. Bennott); Te Aro School v. Girls' College (Mr. Burn).
