NATIONAL EFFICIENCY BOARD
DETENTION OF ITS SERVICES DESIRED. By Telegraph-Press Association. Hastings, August 22. Regret was voiced by the Chamber of Commerce that circumstances had arisen necessitating the members' of the Efficiency Board handing iu their resignations, -which, if accepted, would be a calamity, as the men composing it -were some of the soundest and most capable business men in the Dominion.
The following resolution was passed:— "That this chamber views with alarm tho report that the Efficiency Board is about to resign, and urges upon the Government (lie great importance of retaining the services of the gentlemen who composed tho hoard, together with tho Boards of Trustees which have been organised throughout the Dominion/ 1 *
