Yesterday was n bright, clear day in ■Wellington, but cold in tlio shade. The wind blew from the north, and, coming oft' tho snow of tho ranges, lmd a raw chill. The night was cold. Present indications, states tho Motcorological Department, are for variable winds, moderate to strong northcrlies prevailing shortly. The weather generally is expected to rango from fair to cloudy. Tho barometer has a falling tendency.
