WHERE ARE THOSE FISH?
COUNCILLOR .TOITN CASTLES AND THE ZOO AQUAHIUM. Tho matters concerning tho Zoo aquarium contained in ihe. notices of motion (published yesterday) given by Councillor Castles for the next meeting of tho City Council led to an inquiry by a Dominion reporter, to find out what had becomo of the aquarium fish. Tho curator (Mr. J. Langridge) was. consulted as to what was tho meaning of Mr. Castles's motion. "I don't know," said tho curator. "Whero aro tlio fish?" asked the reporter. "All up in the Zoo." "But not in the aquarium tanks? ".No. During the recent heavy rains tlio water becarao very muddy, and a good deal of vegetablo matter got through, so I thought it advisable to drain tho tanks oil and give them a dean out." "And whero are all the n?h? "They're all riefht They're in a uico pond up at tho 7m; but they'll soon bo back in their tanks." "Did Councillor Castle consult you before tabling his notico of motion? "No; I havon't heard from him at , all." t . , ~ Which is all very mysterious—to tho uninitiated.
