FRENCH CLUB

There was a musiciil soiree at tlio French Club's meeting on Thursday, the details of which wove arranged by Madame Dechanet-M'lntosh. Piano solos wcro played by Misses Garth and Lea, and by 'Mrs. Stott. There were songs bv Miss Stephenson, "La Fillo est Taine," Mr. Cooke. "On voulez-vous allor," and later on "Ma Normandie." 'Recitations wore given by Miss Kind, "Chinoisorie," and by Miss Mend, "La Vase Brisee." The accompaniments were played by Mrs. Stott and Miss Cooke. Captain Barclay gavo two flute solos in good stylo. In the second part of the soiree a Uttlo amusing dramatic skelch was read by Miss Mead and Mr. Whctton. The evening concluded with the. singing of "La Marseillaise."
