SCOTS' COLLEGE
Referring to Scots' College, the annual report of St; John's Church states:—The erection .of suitable premises lias been forced on the board, and a. fine site of eleven and a half acres having been.!secured at Miramar and plans having been prepared by Mr. W. Gray Young, the work of building will presently bo under weigh'. Tlio board has limited the expenditure [inclusive of the cost of site) for Hie present to ,£16,000, with which it is hoped lo provide accommodation for one hundred hoarders and a total roil of two hundred and fifty. There is no thought of making a general appeal for funds. This institution is not in tho same category as the Orphanage or Homo Missions or any of the ordinary schemes of the church. But the success of tho college, apart from the solid contribution i't I will mako to the sound Christian education of a largo number of boys, must react in a highly beneficial fashion on tlif life and work of the whole Prosby(erian- Church in this district.
