CITY FIRE BRIGADE
The Wellington City Council passed the following resolution last evening:— In view oT the increasing difficulty of obtaining suitable men for the City Fire Brigade services, and also in view of the fact that fire brigade men of military age havo been called into camp, tho chairman of tho National Efficiency Board be requested to urge the Government to place at the disposal of the permanent fire brigade service such men belonging to Class C (2)' (Homo Service), as aro not required for agricultural or other essential industries.
